Though I have been a fan of COS since I first laid eyes on it, I have to admit I have had an uncanny craving for ultra simple and clean in my wardrobe lately. The Womens COS SS 2011 Collection speaks boldly to that desire. Everything from the silhouettes and palette to the model and photos is crisp and clean.
I am so excited about this trailer of the legendary New York Times street style photographer Bill Cunnigham’s film. Bill Cunningham will be uncovered March 16 in a documentary every fashion and street style blogger in the world will see. As Cunningham says, “The best fashion show is on the street. It always has been and always will be.”
The other day a friend of mine was telling me about her friend who had some serious obsession with rubberbands. She described to me the work she had created using only rubber bands and how she was finding herself at her day job not able to think about anything other than rubber bands. My friend was speaking about NY based Bulgarian Architect, Margarita Mileva. Mileva finds inspiration in objects that are rapidly becoming obsolete as a result of the pace of technology.
